Independent. Specialized. Focused on the Future of Recycling.
About Our Business:
Frankfort Plastics Inc. is an independent plastic recycling company based in Frankfort, Indiana. Since 2017, we’ve focused on one of the most overlooked problems in recycling: what to do with low-grade plastic film that’s too dirty or complex for traditional systems.
We process over 13,000 tons of plastic film each year—material that would otherwise end up in landfills. Using densification and other custom processes, we turn that waste into clean, consistent feedstock for advanced recyclers, compounders, and manufacturers across the U.S. and Canada.
Our Mission
To provide practical, scalable solutions for hard-to-recycle plastic film—supporting a circular economy while helping our partners reduce landfill costs and meet sustainability goals.
Our Story
Frankfort Plastics was founded by Sasi Noothalapati, a mechanical engineer with 20+ years of experience in plastics, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. Early in his career, Sasi worked in various technical and leadership roles, gaining firsthand insight into how much plastic waste goes unused—not because it can't be recycled, but because no one is set up to do it.
That insight became the foundation for Frankfort Plastics. What began as a single-facility operation is now a growing company that helps move tens of thousands of tons of overlooked plastic into the recycling stream each year.
Who We Work With
We serve a wide range of industries:
Why We're Different
Most recyclers avoid low-end film. We built our business around it.
We know what works in the field, and we design every service around real world needs—not ideal conditions.
