Benefits of Our Densified Feedstock

Benefits of Our Densified Feedstock

Higher Processing Efficiency

Our densified materials can be directly fed into advanced recycling systems without requiring additional preparation steps.

Consistent Quality Standards

We deliver feedstock that meets the strict specifications needed for chemical recycling and pyrolysis processes.

Reduced Environmental Impact

By diverting hard-to-recycle plastics from landfills, we help close the loop in the circular plastic economy.

Why Advanced Recycling Needs Specialized Feedstock

Unlike traditional recycling, which reshapes plastic mechanically, advanced recycling breaks plastic down into its basic chemical components. This process requires consistent, contaminant-free input. Loose, mixed, or dirty film doesn’t work. That’s where we come in.

Our densified feedstock:

Is made from polyethylene (HDPE, LDPE), polypropylene, and other polymers

Is processed to remove metals and other contaminants

Is cut and compacted to meet size and density specs for shredders and extruders

Requires no further handling by recyclers

We help advanced recycling facilities reduce equipment wear, avoid input failures, and streamline operations.

Common Use Cases

Our Feedstock is used in:

Chemical Recycling

Chemical recycling plants converting plastic waste into fuels, oils and monomers.

Plastic-to-Plastic Recycling

Plastic-to-plastic recycling systems that produce virgin-quality resin.

Blended Polymer Applications

Blended polymer applications in manufacturing and compounding.

Supporting Circularity and Scale

Supporting Circularity and Scale

Advanced recycling can transform how plastic waste is managed—but it needs the right material, in the right form. Our job is to bridge that gap. We work closely with recyclers to understand their input needs and ensure a steady supply of reliable material.

We also collaborate on pilot projects, capacity planning, and custom processing setups to help scale operations as the industry grows.

Frankfort Plastics - From Waste to Ready-to-Use Feedstock

From Waste to Ready-to-Use
Feedstock

At Frankfort Plastics, we take difficult plastic film waste and turn it into high-quality feedstock that advanced recyclers can use right away. Our process is built for consistency, contamination control, and scale—especially for low-grade materials that typically go to landfill.

Our Recycling Process

Transforming plastic waste into valuable resources through our innovative five-step process

1

Material Intake & Assessment

We receive and inspect materials from across the U.S. and Canada. This includes post-industrial film, post-consumer collections, and mixed or contaminated loads. If needed, we sort or pre-process to separate out high-grade components.

2

Size Reduction

Plastic film is first shredded or ground to reduce bulk and prepare for densification.

3

Metal Removal

We use crossbelt magnets and eddy current separators to remove metal contaminants such as staples, clips, or aluminum particles.

4

Densification

This is the core of our process. Using high-capacity densifiers, we convert light, loose plastic film into solid, compact pieces that are easier to handle and ideal for advanced recycling. The result is clean, consistent material that meets density and size specs for downstream use.

5

Packaging & Delivery

Processed feedstock is packed and shipped according to partner requirements. We maintain high quality standards to ensure zero rejections on delivery.
